What is FNUF?
FNUF is the Youth League of the Swedish Norden Association.
We promote and encourage international cooperation between young people in the Nordic countries through seminars, excursions, exchange programs and local activities throughout the Nordic countries.
FNUF throws light on Nordic matters and work for increased mobility over the borders.
We believe that communication bewteen people generates friendship, openness and understanding. FNUF is an non-profit organization that is not bounded to any political, religious or ideological believes. We are aiming for people in the ages of 16 to 35.
Trips
In FNUF we're aiming in making and organizing trips to learn more about the Nordic countries. We think that a fun way to get to know about the Nordic countries, is to visit them. We have seen vulcanos in Iceland, danced jazz at the Faroe Islands, went "renspann" (team of reindeers) in Kautokeino and travelled with the Saunaexpress throughout Finland.
We offer you tips and advices
FNUF can help you with getting jobs or job-contacts in the Nordic countries. Through the project "Nordjobb", we can help you get work, which gives the youths in the five Nordic countries a chance to get a work and a flat and the possibility to discover the Nordic countries during a summer.
FNUF arranges meetings for you who are going to "Nordjobb" and for you who appplied. FNUF usually invite ex-Nordic workers and who tells you about their former experiences. If you have questions about your application, turn to office for Nordjobb, sverige@nordjobb.net (www.nordjobb.net). FNUF will gladly help you to get in touch with the staff.
Seminaries, lectures, cinema, theme-nights, influence...
FNUF arranges seminaries, lectures, cinema- and theme nights throughout Sweden with nordic themes. Contact the office if you do have any questions. FNUF also works to shed light on important questions and subjects for youths in the nordic region today.
FNUF has also an observer-place when Nordic Youth Council (NYC) meets every year around autumn.
